Bardolino

Bardolino Lake Garda’s well-known red wine, is appreciated all over the world and it is produced in the vineyards on the surrounding hills.

But its famous wine of Bardolino is not the only thing this small town on the southeastern shore of the lake is worth checking out.  The wine production comes from the Bardolino Classico region, the local area between Bardolino, Affi, Garda, Costermano, Lazise and Cavaion Veronese.

Bardolino is an attractive place for a holiday. It has ancient origins, picturesque pastel-colored buildings and a lovely position on the lakeside.

Bardolino has a bustling piazza and medieval centre, many shops and the bars and restaurants are open until midnight.

There are also a couple of museums in Bardolino, devoted to wine and olive oil. Apart from the many vineyards and olive groves, it is a holiday resort that has something for all tastes, close to some of Italy’s major family attractions like Gardaland and Movieland.

Located on the southern end, where the lake widens out, here the atmosphere is even more Mediterranean and this makes Bardolino one of the most appealing towns of Lake Garda.

There are many opportunities for an active and sporting holiday as well as the opportunity to taste its local famous wine and the extra virgin olive oil.

Bardolino gives the charm of the old town and lakeside walks as well as the chance to discover the hills and their views over the whole lake.
